Dahlia Tuber Policies

General Information

Tubers are sold as individual tubers, not in clumps. All tubers listed for sale are grown here on the farm - they are NOT imported.

Each tuber will have at least one visible growing eye. Tubers may be slightly shrived or wrinkled or ugly or big or small but will produce beautiful flowers! Some tubers may have white roots – this is totally normal, it just means the tuber was exposed to some warmer temperatures and is ready to grow! I only sell tubers that I would grow myself.

Tubers will be shipped in sealed plastic bags with peat moss and vermiculite. Once you have received your tubers please open the plastic bag and store them in a cool, dark location until time to plant after your last frost. (You can also pot up the tubers to get a head start!).

Within a day or two upon receipt of your tubers also please inspect them. If you see any visible damage (ie the growing eyes have broken off, or the tuber is broken) send me an email. While I cannot guarantee the care of the tubers once the package is with Canada Post, I do want you to enjoy your flowers.

However, once the dahlia tubers have been planted I cannot be responsible for the performance and health of the dahlia plants due to poor growing conditions, pests, poor weather, or viruses. The dahlias here on the farm are healthy and disease symptom free - but I cannot 100% guarantee the tubers are not carrying a dormant disease or virus.

Shipping

Only Canadian orders will be accepted. I cannot ship internationally at this time.

Tubers will not be shipped until mid/late May, as my last frost date (near Edmonton AB) is typically around the May long weekend. I will not accommodate early shipping dates in case of tuber damage/freezing. You can plant dahlia tubers well into June and still have many blooms before the fall.

All shipped orders will be shipped via Canada Post at a flat rate shipping charge of $25, and provided with tracking. I am not responsible for lost or damaged packages, or issues with Canada Post.

Local Pickup: If you are local to the Edmonton area and would like local pick up, please visit our Facebook page for the link to our post for dahlia tubers in the Facebook Market Place.

Please note all sales are final and orders will not be cancelled or refunded.

At this time I cannot combine separate orders.

I cannot wait to share my love of dahlias with you! Here’s to a great growing season!
